3D Home Theater a Reality Soon

3D could be the next big thing where home entertainment is concerned, as the 3D@Home Consortium, consisting of Disney, Universal, Philips, Samsung, Sony, Thomson and IMAX, are working towards an affordable home-based solution. It seems that 3D HDTVs will form their way in by 1 million US homes before 2008 is by, with Mitsubishi and Samsung handling the manufacturing responsibilities. There are plenty of 3D titles being planned for cinemas, so

it would produce perfect sense to expect these very same titles seem on Blu-ray and DVD formats as well. You know what will really drive the 3D home theater market? I’m putting my money on the porn industry to give it that much needed kickstart.
