Acer Acquires E-Ten

Acer is on a buying spree again, and that instance the Taiwanese company has snapped up E-Ten. E-Ten is most famous for their line of Glofiish Windows Mobile smartphones. Apparently, Acer will be forking out $290 million for E-Ten, and that purchase will probably see Acer include E-Ten’s technology into its own line

of PDAs in order to gain a larger market share of the mobile computing market. Word on the street has it that a deal will be inked sometime in Q3 2008.
