Acer P244W LCD Monitor

Acer’s recently announced P244W LCD monitor is touted to be the first 24″ full HD monitor in the world that features an aspect ratio of 16:9. I wonder whether there is anything to be proud of, since there are already plenty of other “firsts” when it comes to monitors and other consumer electronics these days that don’t seem to matter too much. Other features include :-

    Acer Adaptive Contrast
    Management (ACM) technology
  • Contrast ratio up to 20,000:1

  • 2ms response time

  • HDMI port

  • Touch-sensitive OSD (on-screen display)

    • True to structure, Acer has not released word on pricing and availability. Bah!
