Apple Plugs gap in the iPhone Store Sorting

In case you have missed it, in last week’s iPhone Apps Store launch fog-of-war, some developers found that adding an invisible character (the good old alt+255?) at the beginning of their application name would get them on top of the alphabetically-sorted list. That was a Rookie mistake from Apple that has been fixed

now, as Apple is probably checking and removing such invisible characters. Now the only way to get you application’s name on top is to give it a name starting with “AAA”. iPhone homepage
