Blackberry servers doomed to fail?

Word is getting around that Blackberry is too good.  Perhaps I should clarify that, they continue to grow so fast, their infrastructure crumbling.  Hence the black out yesterday.  How fast?  They added 1.65 million subscribers last quarter. 

The last count had 12 million total subscribers shooting emails hither and yon.  Blackberry has been throwing money around trying to keep their network ahead, but are fighting a losing battle with that kind of growth.  It just can’t get ahead.

It might be interesting to note that of the 1.65 million subscribers they added, they shipped 3.9 million devices.  Multiple

units per person?  Anyone jailbreaking their Blackberry?  WTF?  Sorry, off topic.  That is a bunch sitting on store shelves.

Yesterday, enterprise customers received that statement:

“continuing to investigate the exact cause of the outage and would supply additional info as soon as we are able to verify the events that prompted the interruption.”
