Camera Phones Getting self-moving Zoom Feature

Sony Ericsson, which is working on a 12-megapixel camera phone that could ship next year, filed a patent application for an AUTOMATIC-ZOOM CAMERA PHONE. The invention would us an iPhone-like

accelerometer to detect when you move the camera away from your body, which would serve as a “gesture” instructing the camera phone to zoom in.
