Changing Analog Behavior in a Digital World - FlickrFan First ThoughtsMichael Gartenberg

This is a theme that i’ve talked about in the past, how consumers have embraced digital technology but at the same duration are still very much engaged in analog behavior. For example, look at the transition from analog to digital cameras.

And yet, many consumers still print out their photos at 4×6 or 5×7 and store them in albums or shoe boxes. Analog behavior in a digital world. It’s been a lengthy moment since I’ve printed out photos, I prefer to view them on one of the large screens in the house. TVs and PCs are found all through the home today making for some effective intersection points. Look at all those screens and where they are located.

Viewing photos on a

large screen for a much better experience than crowding around a photo album, particularly in a group. That’s why Dave Winer’s FlickrFan is so fundamental. While there are plenty of solutions that let you view photos from your PC on your TV, FlickrFan takes the next logical step and allows me to not only get my own subject matter on a the TV screen but rather lets me plus subscribe to new composition from others and let others get access to mine. That’s a killer feature and totally changes the game. whether you want to see the future of how composition delivery can work seamlessly and you have a Macintosh handy, you most certainly want to download the beta. Highly recommended.
