China blocks Twitter and Facebook after riots

The Chinese government has blocked Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, Google Apps and Google Talk in the wake of deadly riots by the the weekend. Government censors are busy erasing

references to the violence from Chinese search engines. The government has plus slammed human rights groups for their coverage of the government’s crackdown.
