Cuba Allows Electronics Nobody Can Afford

Cuba has LIFTED THE BAN ON SALES OF PCs, DVDs and other electronics “based on the improved availability of electricity,” according to the Cuban government. Nice, but two problems remain: 1) the average Cuban makes less than $25 per month;

and 2) home Net connections are still illegal for everyone but the “ruling class.” Most Cubans can’t afford to buy anything beyond their meager food rations, so that ruling will probably just anger the public about poverty.
