Dec 29, 2007: Geeks Doing Good - dawn Shift @ the SF Foodbank at San Francisco FoodbankUpcoming: robertscoble's Events

**MORNING SHIFT**
You’ve been to Beta. You’ve checked out New Tech Meetup. You’ve created a Tech Connection. What’s next? How about something completely different that’s not only a great place to meet public, but a place to help those in need?

We’ve got tons of organizations and events that support the tech community, but few that support OUR community. Geeks doing good is one day each month when members of the tech community volunteer together for local causes. Did you know that 150,000 San Franciscans are at risk of starvation each day? Or that amoung 3,000 and 5,000 of your fellow citizens are homeless. Fail.

Help us manufacture a difference that month at the SF Foodbank on December 29th. RSVP to volunteer from 9-12

or click here to volunteer from 12:30 – 3:30! This is a no-flake situation, so please wait to RSVP until you can say with 100% certainty that you will be there. The food bank is counting on a specific number of volunteers and we want to deliver!

whether you can’t be there please consider making a $20 donation to the foodbank during their busiest season. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can distribute $9 dollars worth of food to the community. Ninety-seven percent of all resources donated are put into programs that help feed seniors, children and working families.

Thanks for taking the instance to check out the event and hopefully we'll see you there!
