Epson Stylus Photo R2880 Coming

Epson looks set to oust its Stylus Photo R2400 by introducing the new Epson Stylus Photo 2880, featuring a similar print engine as the higher end Stylus Pro x880 models, the same Ultrachrome K3 inkset as well as Radiance halftoning lookup-table technology from the R1900. All that printing jargon might scare you off, but trust me, it is for your own good as they (supposedly) translate to some pretty sharp

and snazzy images. Unfortunately, it seems as though the catridges used will be rather small, which means more frequent replacements that could be a hassle for some folk. The R2880 is tipped to ship sometime next month, retailing for a wallet pinching $799.99.
