I will kill folks in Akihabara - Mobile phone website foretold Sunday’s stabbing spree


A series of posts on a mobile phone website foretold the deadly stabbing spree that occurred shortly after noon Sunday in Tokyo’s Akihabara district, a log showed Monday. Seven folks died after being hit by a truck or having been stabbed, and 10 others were injured in the rampage. The suspect arrested for the deadly rampage told police he had given warning of his actions in website posts. The posts were apparently put up from early wee hours until just minutes before the stabbing spree. The descriptions

The Metropolitan Police office said it is investigating whether the posts were made by Tomohiro Kato, 25, an auto parts factory worker from Shizuoka Prefecture. Kato was arrested after being overpowered by police officers who arrived at the scene, police said. Kato was quoted as telling police Sunday that he came to Akihabara to kill folks. He was tired of life and tired of living, he was additionally quoted as saying.
