Ustream.TV issued a major announcement today - they’ve secured angel round funding from Band of Angels and Western Technology Investors for an undisclosed amount, as well as funding from a “leading Japanese investor” and an “very prominent Dallas-area billionaire.”
In case you’ve never given a second thought to UStream, now’s the moment to stand up and pay attention. They’re probably one of the more solidly backed Web 2.0 video streaming services out there, and clearly one of the most star-studded services in terms of high-profile events, regularly turning out appearances from darlings of politics and entertainment.
