London Bridge, er…price of dollar is falling down, falling down…Maryamie

Robert can’t believe that his wife did not buy a singled-out item while abroad even though we were staying minutes away from the famous Oxford street shops in London and steps away from Galeries Lafayette the most famous shopping mall in Paris, er in the world. The truth is I just couldn’t get myself to buy something in Sterling Pounds or Euros where each pound equals 2.01 dollars and each euro is 1.44 dollar. We had two cups of coffee and one lemon tart at the hotel in Paris and it came to nearly 50 dollars.

Two cups of tea in our hotel in London cost us 20 dollars. Good thing I was sick most of the trip and couldn’t really eat much. Who cares about shopping, I would’ve eaten us out of house and home!
Now that we are back in the US, I think I’ll do my Christmas shopping that weekend at a local mall and contribute to the US economy for my share. It needs the help and every dollar counts. That’s my story and I am sticking to it.
