Migrate Win XP Virtual PC 7/Mac to Virtual PC 2007/Win
If you have Windows XP or Vista installed on your Intel Mac’s Boot Camp partition, you might plus have downloaded and installed Microsoft’s free Virtual PC 2007 application, which is quite similar to Virtual PC 7 for PowerPC Macs. Well, I tried to migrate my Windows XP Professional VPC 7 image on one of my PowerPC Macs (an upgraded potential Mac G4) to VPC 2007 on my new Intel Mac mini: the results were very good indeed, and with no XP reactivation due!

So,
- On your PowerPC Mac, start up Windows XP in VPC 7 and uninstall the Virtual Machine Additions from within Add/Remove Programs; after having restarted, shut down Windows from the Start button.
- Go to the Virtual PC List folder (by default located inside the Documents folder) on your PowerPC Mac.
- Control-click on the Windows XP.vpc7 hard drive package and choose Show Pack…
