MIT, NASA to Put Telescopes On the Moon

NASA approved today an MIT proposal to plan an array of radio telescopes on the FAR SIDE OF THE MOON. Called the Lunar Array for Radio Cosmology (LARC) project, the moon location would shield the telescopes

from light and radio interference from the Earth, which would radically improve the quality of the observations. The array would cover some two square kilometers, and be installed by robots. I want one!
