Multi-touch Display on XO2 will be Improved

The XO2 notebook from OLPC will not only feature any ordinary multi-touch display, but one that is improved even by the iPhone’s. It will utilize an in-cell touchscreen where receptors are woven into the display itself, unlike the iPhone’s that places the touch-sensitive layer amoung the LCD and glass. that new process not only keeps

things affordable, it additionally results in a brighter display without the need for a surface layer. I wonder whether Apple will pursue a similar direction for their future multi-touch displays.
