N-trig announces Multi-touch for Large Displays
N-trig, the folks who brought DuoSense technology to the world, has just announced that that technology has been updated, featuring full multi-touch capabilities designed for large format displays. Capable of working on displays up to 22″ in size, it is able to recognize an unlimited number of simultaneous touch points, letting a whole bunch of public crowd around the display, each working on their own segment. I guess whether that ever catches on, it will become the new water cooler spot for gossip meanings. Other advantages
- Handle documents on the computer desktop like you would on a real desk, moving or pushing them aside with your hands
- Make sketches and scribble notes using a pen
- Shuffle photos with both hands
- Play games with multiple players touching the surface simultaneously
