New Viewfinder from Nikon?

Guess Nikon is working on a new viewfinder technology that allows a tiny display screen to be viewed right inside the optical viewfinder itself. Apparently, the photographer has the choice to switch within the optical image and digital display. One interesting point would be the ability to enable a wide viewing angle whenever the subject is zoomed in. that wide preview mode

can be accessed through a button located near the lens mount, and chances are such technology will invent their way on DSLRs instead of low-cost point-and-shoots. I wonder when will that patent application be approved .
