Nexi Robot From MIT

The geniuses at MIT have done it yet again, with a next-generation humanoid robot known as Nexi. Nexi is touted to be an ‘emotional’ robot who is able to move its body, hands and face in a manner that conveys human emotions behind the cold, calculative look. Don’t be fooled by the rather frail looking arms as those can even carry weights up to 10 pounds in total. It

looks like some sort of freakish, contemporary day Pinocchio and travels around on a pair of self-balancing wheels. Thanks to a color camera in its eye and an IR system in the forehead, Nexi is able of conjuring its own 3D maps of its surroundings for easier navigation.
