OLED Shutters The Way To Go

Louvered shutters could be on their way out, but Damian Savio might just change your mind with that final-year show at the University of Western Sydney. that 23-year old’s notion of using OLEDs and advance transparent Photovoltaic Nanoscale technology has resulted in the Lightway shutters which enable sunlight to flood in during the day, storing up

a stash of energy in solar cells so that these lights are powered at night without raising havoc on your electricity bill at the end of the month. Sounds like perfect party fodder to me.
