OpenSocial at meetup next week

Patrick Chanezon, Developer Advocate

Lawrence Sinclair and Sudha Jamthe recently asked us to host a Facebook Application Development Meetup to discuss OpenSocial, a common set of APIs that enables social application development. We’re happy to tell you that it’s going to happen at Google on November 19th at 7pm. Dave McClure, of 500 hats, will emcee the evening. The event is free, but you need

to register to attend.

Some topics that will be covered include:
- an overview of OpenSocial APIs
- the differences amidst OpenSocial and F8
- 5 sample social apps with their code
- a look at some OpenSocial apps in different sites, including in hi5, Ning, orkut, and/or Plaxo

We look forward to seeing you next week.
