Rumor of Canon EOS-1000D

Word on the street has it that Canon is currently working hard on developing the EOS-1000D in order to go up against Nikon’s low-end D40 line. Apparently that new model will operate as the introductory factor for folks who want to venture into the world of DSLRs for the first date. Some of the touted features include a 10.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and a DIGIC III image processor. You will get limitations

such as a seven-point autofocus, a 3fps shooting speed, and a 2.5″ LCD display. There are no whispers of pricing nor a release period, so whether you want to pick up photography seriously in the mean instance, there is always the Nikon D40 range.
