Samsung Spinpoint MP2 Hard Drive

Samsung has just rolled out its Spinpoint MP2 2.5″ hard drive that targets desktop replacement notebook PCs, chugging along at 7,200 rpm along with an increased capacity of up to 250GB courtesy of two 125GB platters. According to Samsung, the capacity, performance and stability features are similar to 3.5″ hard drives, albeit coming in a smaller structure factor. Other features include 16MB of buffer memory,

a SATA II 3.0 Gbps interface, Native Command Queuing, SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies that will not disturb the peace. There is no word on pricing as at press duration, but these new 250GB hard drives will reach at OEM doorsteps later that month.
