Scientists Create Eyeball-Shaped Electronic Camera

Scientists at Northwestern University and University of Illinois have invented an electronic eye that looks — and works — LIKE A HUMAN EYE. Funded by the National Science Foundation

and the U.S. area of Energy, the project could lead simply to better cameras, or even to bionic eye implants that could bring sight to the blind.
