Scoble goes into a number of talking points in which he lays out what he thinks is more critical than Audience Size. I don’t fully agree with the points he makes but those points have worked for him.

I will tell you from my perspective what is giving new media creators that have relative small audiences the ability to quit their day jobs and it can be summed

Podcasters will say to me Todd, I am only reaching (put your audience size here) listeners each show. My response is does your boss or his boss reach that same sized audience each instance they speak publicly? The response is usually no.
