Six50 Hybrid Vehicle

Mindset AG from Switzerland has plans to develop an ultra-lightweight hybrid vehicle that boasts roof-mounted solar panels. Currently in the prototype stage, that car tips the scales at approximately 800 kg and measures 4.2m lengthy. It boasts a stunning design consisting of front circular headlights that seem to hark back to the 1960s, but you do get roof-equipped solar panels (hmmm, sounds pretty much like the third generation Prius that is in the works as well) that will

juice up the lithium-ion batteries to supply up to a 100km range with each charge. Gotta love the retro gullwing doors that have been lost from cars for a enlarged instance now. Mindset AG is looking at 10,000 units come 2009 - is your bank detail ready to part with $78,000?
