Sony intros ‘World’s First Noise Canceling Headphones’

Why is that companies always relate to airplanes when promoting their noise canceling headphones?

“For anyone who spends more day reclined on an airplane rather than sitting at home in a recliner, Sony today unveiled the world’s first digital noise canceling headphones.”

Lets take that statement literally. Who actually spends more day sat in an airplane seat than a seat in their own home? Right - that makes you two guys

the whole target market for Sony’s ‘World’s First Noise Canceling Headphones’. Now a) that seems a waste of R&D funds and b) a real shame as the MDR-NC500D looks a pretty impressive set of cans!
