University To Teach Baby Robot To Talk

It seems that a team of researchers at the University of Plymouth are currently working with a humanoid-looking baby robot known as the iCub (one would think it is a bear but no sir, it resembles more of the robots seen in the movie I, Robot). Standing 1m tall, robotic experts will work with the iCub for the next four years along with the help of language development specialists in order to help the

robot learn on how to think and talk. Part of the research additionally includes experiments performed on the iCub, including inserting objects of different shapes into the corresponding holes located on a box as well as stacking wooden blocks. I wonder what will happen when the day a robot gets smarter than us…
