User-set Multitouch Patent Filing

Apple looks set to revolutionize the touch-based user interface further with that filing that enables users to define their very own gesture-based commands in Mac OS X. I guess that is a pretty viable concept as many folks like to customize their user interface experience, and one person has different preference from another. that patent filing from Apple will see a control panel add basic and advanced levels of multitouch control to existing trackpad options.

Should you be a little bit more adventurous and try the advanced mode, you can always opt for different finger patterns, chords and even different swiping motions. There is no word on an official release of hardware that uses that patent, but we will probably see something interesting from Cupertino in the near future.
