Using OpenSocial, hi5 Makes Music with iLike & Qloud

Posted by Peter Chane, Group Product Manager

Starting yesterday, hi5 began rolling out two new music applications from iLike and Qloud. hi5’s 70 million registered users will be able to use the iLike and Qloud applications to play their favorite songs and share music from hundreds of thousands of artists, among other music-related activities. These are the first applications using OpenSocial to go live on hi5 and were developed and launched within a three-week timeframe.

The new music applications iLike and Qloud created for hi5 using OpenSocial illustrate how OpenSocial is a win-win-win: hi5 is able to present new services and site features to its users rapidly; iLike and Qloud get exposure to millions of new music fans, and most importantly, hi5 users gain cool, online applications. We look forward to hearing about your OpenSocial applications.
